First and foremost it is an honour for me to be appointed the OSD of Ram Lal College (Evening). I look forward to working at RLA College (Evening) with optimism and enthusiam. This prospectus aims to provide you with a brief glimpse of RLA College (Evening). RLA College was set up in 1964 by a philanthropist and legal luminary Late Sh. Ram Lal Anand to impart education at the university level. The College was taken over by the University of Delhi in July 1973. The Evening College was established in the same year.

At present undergraduate learning and teaching at University of Delhi with the implementation of semester system is undergoing a sea change. DU is becoming highly competitive. We, at RLA College (Eve.), are dedicated to the holistic growth of our students in every possible way – inside and outside the classroom situation. We want our students to remember Mahatma Gandhi's famous quote: “Be the change you want to see in the world.” We want you to actively engage in class programmes and strive for the best. Students, you should be able to seek new opportunities, recognise and celebrate your own inner strengths through self-discipline.

I have full faith in our dynamic and talented students and we are here to nurture each and every student's unique gift and strengths. At RLA College (Evening) we do not measure success in academic achievement only. Co-curricular and Extra-curricular achievements through participation in Student Societies, NSS, NCC, Sports, Talent Hunt Programmes, Debates, Inter & Intra Cultural Competitions, Workshops, Seminars, etc. is also part of your learning process and opening-up of newer horizons.

We would be delighted to welcome you to the RLA College (Evening) and offer our 24x7 guidance, encouragement and support.

My appeal to faculty, staff, students and the alumni is to join hands and send in your suggestions regarding new aims, objectives, facilities and campus environment.
